Lara Trump Warns ‘Terrible Things Will Happen’ If Kamala Harris Wins 2024 Election Against Donald Trump

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, has stepped up her warnings about the dire consequences she believes Kamala Harris will have if she wins the 2024 presidential election.

With polls showing an extremely close race and Election Day less than three months away, the Republican National Committee co-chair delivered a clear message on her podcast, “The Right View,” on Thursday, Aug. 8.

Lara Trump Says Harris Presidency Could Lead to Global Conflict

“Can you really tell me that you’re going to be able to look at your kids when we’re actually in a recession, when we’re actually in World War III, when everything around us is falling apart and the country that we’ve always known is in complete chaos, and you’re going to be able to look at your kids and say, ‘Yes, I voted for that,’” Lara Trump asked her audience, looking directly into the camera.

‘This is serious,’ the 41-year-old, who is married to Trump’s son Eric Trump, underscored what she sees as a very real threat to America’s future. Lara said the nation is “on the verge of a lot of terrible things happening in our country and the world” if voters choose Harris over her father-in-law.

Trump assesses market turmoil as polls show tight race with Harris in lead

Lara Trump’s alarmist rhetoric echoes the former president’s earlier warnings of economic collapse and global conflict if he fails to win a second term.

On Monday, amid a massive global market sell-off, Trump seized the moment to call the crisis a “Kamala disaster” on social media, warning that this was just the beginning of an economic disaster if Harris were elected, according to the New York Post. But markets rebounded throughout the week, recouping most of their losses by Friday.

Despite this recovery, Lara continued her dogged narrative, declaring, “You see that everything seems to be going in the wrong direction, and lately, not the least of which is the stock market. We are on the verge of a serious recession.”

Trump’s daughter-in-law also pointed to the cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline in 2021, which Lara said was responsible for the surge in gas prices, despite expert consensus that other factors had a bigger impact on oil prices during the Biden administration. She also accused the Biden administration’s policies of fueling inflation.

Interestingly, polls have shown the vice president tied with the twice-impeached former president in the race. The Real Clear Politics average of recent polls shows Harris leading Trump by half a point in the head-to-head race, putting them in a statistical tie.

Trump Lara Urges Voters to Privately Support Trump

Still, Lara Trump didn’t stop there, joining other Republicans in criticizing Kamala Harris’ role as the so-called “border czar.” GOP lawmakers have repeatedly attacked Harris on border issues, a responsibility President Joe Biden assigned her early in his administration to address the root causes of migration.

During her podcast, the RNC co-chair argued that voters don’t even have to publicly share their presidential choice, urging them to vote for her father-in-law from the privacy of the ballot box. “You vote for Donald Trump and you don’t have to tell anyone, but deep down you know you did the right thing for the future of America,” she argued.

Lara also criticized Harris’ career trajectory, saying the vice president “has failed her entire career” and attributing her position to her gender rather than merit. “Never give me a position based on the fact that I’m a woman, I either earned it or I didn’t,” the former television producer said.
