2 taken to hospital as ‘extrication tools’ used after multi-vehicle crash in hurricane

HURRICANE, Utah (ABC4) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a two-car collision in Hurricane Saturday afternoon, officials said.

According to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue, crews responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. at 1150 W State Street. The crash involved two vehicles and six passengers, officials said.

“Tools were needed to extricate some of the occupants from one of the vehicles,” Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue said on social media.

Of the six passengers involved in the incident, two were taken to hospital while four were treated at the scene and discharged.

In addition to several Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue units, the Hurricane City Police Department also responded to the scene.

Authorities did not immediately provide information on the health conditions of the passengers taken to hospital.
